Rose Boarder Table Lamp

Mini Peony Lamp

My first attempt at a lamp

A Leap Of Faith

Made in 1998, It was an exercise in cutting straight lines. A Roman officer was quoted "it shone as though glass" He was refering to the fact that in it's day, the pyramid was couvered with lime stone and was polished to a shine. The front image is the god of fertility, I found that out later. I just liked the design. There are 1,287 cut and ground pieces, they all had to fit perfectly or they'd be off on the corners. It stands 16" tall and 16" wide. There are ball and claw supports in each base corner. It's signed and dated, and is one of a kind.
